RIP Pope Paul VI 1897-1978.

Man at the 2:40 mark Ken Squire was such a great sportscaster for anything. Got his pitch in about Talladega and a horse race, while doin the USAC race. Definitely one of the greatest commentators of all time

Brilliant quality for a 1978 recording, thanks :D

11:11-11:29 A car/team sponsor forcing a racing team to protest an engine war? I've never even heard of that before. At least in my lifetime I've never heard that. I didn't even know that sponsors could do that. I've certainly never seen that in NASCAR. Then again, everything about NASCAR is pretty much equal, so there's never really been any 'wars', so to speak, except for maybe the Goodyear/Firestone tire war in the '60s.

Gawd, Paul Page looks young here.

And if so, do you also have the 1978 Milwaukee Tony Bettenhausen 200 which also belongs to movracefan?
Did you get this race from movracefan?

@LMCMInterloper No, I didn't. Maybe it originated from him, but I got it from somebody else. And no I don't have the '78 Bettenhausen 200 yet.
