1957 Kenmore_Whirlpool vs. 1958 Frigidaire

I did these three videos around 2005, they compared five pair of size 31/30 jeans in a 1957 Kenmore Washer with a Whirlpool Surgilator agitator vs. a 1958 Frigidaire washer with a 3-Ring Agitator.

Here are the two machines in sync to compare the difference in type of washing action.

The green is the Frigidaire? Pretty cool. Those pumping agitators always looked vaguely pornographic.

I'll take the Frigidaire any day! Although the Kenmore (Whirlpool) gave great washing action, I lost count on how many times the socks came back up to the top in the Frigidaire.

@Billyb0y2001 If history serves my mind right, Frigidaire stopped making these after GM sold it off, they got bought by a company that eventually got bought by Electrolux which just made generic washers we have today. I'd love to see a Unimatic made today. But THAT Whirlpool isn't that bad either, I'd take both washers and love em both :)

I have to ask the question why don't they make the Frigidaire washer anymore? Don't you think it's time for a revival of this superior machine?
