  • @queeniefox The same reason people go to concerts and get so drunk they probably don't remember it the next day? Yeah, really annoying when that person is standing right next to you.

  • I was there too! RIGHT UP FRONT. To me, the "UP" tour was their best in 10 years, after the "Green" tour. I always tell people about this show because it was sooooo loose and natural, unlike those motionless "Monster" tour shows. They fucking rocked that night at Bumpershoot! Michael got down from the moment he ran onstage for "Lotus" and the rest was pure love and rem.

  • This was my very first R.E.M. concert!

  • I was at a similar concert and I thought that he was just faking being bad at guitar...purposely 'clumsy' showman, teasing. ...and it is awesome to witness.HOPE is way gorgeous.

  • he was really funny during the show. i was front row it was great.

  • I was actually at this concert and remember people giggling and a guy hollering "Don't quit your day job!!" In context, it was a hilarious concert and R.E.M> had a fake ban opening and everryone was dressed up ridiculous. So there was a "giggly" mood thoughout and, you must admit, the guitar playing was a bit comical despite the gravity of the song.

  • yeah really who would talk threw that

Id do anything to see him play guitar live

  • i know now why he doesn't play guitar... but he still rocks

  • I love Hope, and I especially love this version. (But why do people go to gigs to talk and giggle through the quiet bits?)
