i have to disagree with you. Zep was not SOLELY a blues band, nor were they solely any one genre. they ran the gamut of rock - classic rock, hard rock, heavy metal, folk rock, country rock, AND blues rock.
tying down a band like Zep to one single genre is almost insulting.
i will agree, though, that a number of songs of theirs were interpolations of folk or blues songs - like Gallows Pole for example, which happens to be one of my personal Zep favorites.

@Fififlan I would just like to point out that Zeppelin was a blues band, and most of their popular songs were takes on blues classics...

capo on the 2nd fret to play the open A string in the main riff. he probably prefers the tone quality vs. playing that open B note on the E string

its capo on 2nd fret and it just makes the song slightly easier to play

Its like seeing the greatness of a classic band like Led Zep, with a new bluesy format...i love this banda
