http://AviationExplorer.com - New Footage of the Galloping Ghost P-51 Mustang airplane that crashed at the Reno Air show in Reno Nev. Amid the horrific aftermath of the nation's deadliest air racing disaster, a crash that killed 10 and sent about 70 people to Reno-area hospitals (Some of the injured described being coated in aviation fuel that burned) a sort of calm pervaded. Witnesses were spattered with blood and pieces of flesh, yet video of the scene shows paramedics, police and spectators attending to the wounded with a control that seems contradictory to the devastation.

@jamesdewer No plane is designed around people of a particular age. You completely made that up and pulled it out of your ass. If a trim tab failed on that plane at that speed with a young pilot, he would be just as knocked out.

If the NTSB report states that age caused the crash then it will be an issue. Modern fighter pilots in their 20s and 30s typically pass out at lower G levels (7-9Gs) than the 10+ G deceleration recorded in this accident. As it is, Reno pilots are required to have current medical certificates so they were cleared for racing by a doctor. Witness accounts and video suggests several possible causes, none of which are related to the pilot's age at all.
