I love this banjo, I had a hard enough time playing the guitar. Maybe some time in the future I'll learn how to play a 5 string, but for now I'll stick with this. I have played many 6 string banjo's and this one sounds as good as some of the high end ones that cost about $1500.00, I payed $650.00 for this, more in my price range. If I was rating this on a 10 scale I would give it a 10+.

  • Nice pickin'! I just bought a GT-750, and I love it!

  • @guitmartiman I'm glad you like it. I love the sound of the GT, I need to do more with it. I started a new company escorting oversize loads cross country and have put my music on the back burner for a while. Work has turned from a part time to a full time, I might put more cars on. I have turned down a lot of loads that I could have had if I had another driver.

I really enjoy your music, you are great

    Thank You!

  • One hell of a catchy tune [The Ode To Jed Clampitt] and nicely played.

  • @Normanskie

    Thank You Very Much!

This is an old Lester and Flatts tune. I listened to it so many times on Beverly Hill Billys, but always enjoyed it.

  • I found the same banjo about a month ago and I'm dying to get it. I'm not a banjo player, I'm mostly a guitar player, so when I saw this I had to play with it - being it's a 6-string. I was very surprised with the way it sounded, I'm glad you enjoy it.

I plugged it in as well and it sounds very cool, but unplugged, it sounds pretty awesome. It's really not a tradition banjo in the least, but it's real fun to play.

  • @ShotGunRoleModel I agree with you, I have a lot of fun. It sound great in the background of someone else playing and singing. I works great for lead or rhythm.

Thank you for your great comments.

  • Hey couboy !!!woow-I like it-Fantastic banyo sound-Great buster 10* !!!!!

  • very cool.

    that thing sounds good.

i bet if you finger-picked it, you wouldnt be able to tell the difference between that and a 5-string banjo.

    i have a tenor 4-string banjo, and when finger-pickes sounds like a 5-string.

great playing. i could just see jed & granny & jethro & ellie-may comming up the road. ha ha.

    5 stars *****
