http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/firstgear-kathmandu-jacket Firstgear's motto is to maintain their price point, but make major upgrades to their products. And we at RevZilla are more than okay with that policy. For this year's version of the mega-popular all-season all-weather ADV/enduro/dualsport Firstgear Kathmandu Jacket, we're seeing some big upgrades that represent steps in the right direction for FG. We're seeing upgraded armor, d3o molecular-level protectors, found int eh shoulders and elbows. oft and malleable for comfort, d3o armor becomes rigid on impact, absorbing and dispersing energy across the surface area of the protector. Additionally, the venting has been redesigned for 2011, with two vertical exhaust vents rather than the single horizontal vent. This will create better airflow and keep you cooler. All of the other features remain intact as this jacket stays a staple of the Firstgear line and RevZilla's ADV collection.
very thorough review, as usual
