Metal Gear (NES) Walkthrough (Part 7)

The seventh video in a walkthrough requested by XanderMisfit. The Fire Trooper is about as hard as Coward Duck to kill. He's even easier, because his attack is entirely avoidable, I don't know what they were thinking. Anyway, Snake meets Dr. Pettrovich, Metal Gear's creator. By the way, wasn't Schneider dead? I just assumed he was killed by the enemy leader or something like that in the last Part, but maybe that's just me.

dude, how did you get to the building where Pettrovich, and his daughter were taken captive, where Solid Snake was taken captive and killed Shotgunner earlier in the game, and where Fire Trooper was? Because I tried to get to there, I could get there nevertheless I had 4 stars?

@malecpajaro Using the compass and taking exactly the same path as I did should work. It seems random when I'm moving in the woods, but it's not.

@DarkEvil87 I think I know how to do it, in the in tersection go to the lower left path twice, then go up then go to the lower left path again, am i correct?

@malecpajaro At the intersection, it's 3 times left, then up, then another time left.

0:29, the only thing that disapointed me is, how could you know that you had to get this patern here, I mean I saw all the POWs and no one said that I had to use this pattern. I could finish the game by checking this video, or else I'd bu stuck.

@TheSuperTett There's even a FAQ on GameFAQS where someone dumped all the text in the game just to prove that there was no mention of how to do this. This really seems like something you had to guess (or as often back in the days, buy Nintendo Power I guess, I'm sure they must have covered this section of the game).
