Ok so the first step to be a pro bowler... Is to NOT watch these videos.
Seriously, eHow is a terrible reference for bowling.
Go to a local pro shop and ask for coaching options.

@ZeroTuck Excellent advice. Practice, practice, practice will make you a good bowler. However, coaching brings one the necessary skills, approach & release styles, worthy equipment choices, lane reading techniques, bowler courtesy, etc. Last, but not least, one must have CONFIDENCE and a good sponsor.

if you can do all of these things to try to bowl on the tour, thats great. but you better have a lot of money to pay for expenses cause it aint cheep lol

You pretty much need a sponsor willing to cover your travel expenses and entry fees while providing free balls to actually afford the job of being a pro bowler. Guy at a local pro shop was on the PBA, but he couldn't get a sponsor so it was a no go.
