Another fairly simple to play jazz standard - known widely probably through the fairly recent version by singer Norah Jones. This is intended for intermediate to advanced jazz piano players.
I have again added extra information - a clear view of the notes being played, a rolling version of the notation, and lots of comments on the techniques used.
This video (in stereo) and the midi file that was recorded at the same time as the video are free to download at
http://www.bushgrafts.com
A .pdf file of the transcription is on my DVD - details are on the above website
If you have a fast connection and want to see this in high quality video to see the notes clearly (and improved audio), add the letters &fmt=18 straight after the existing internet address line above.

  • well they do always get you with the instructional DVD but believe me this DVD is well worth the very reasonable cost -there's 8 or 9 hours of it [haven't finished listening yet] and Doug is amazingly generous by giving away so much on the website , no copy right , feel free to print out so many transcriptions- can hardly begrudge modest outlay on DVD to get the stuff not included on website. His teaching notes included throughout have rocket fuelled my own playing. I love him.

  • @B5D729 they always get you with the instructional DVD...

  • absolutely beautiful.

  • very good...

  • so good

  • I always wondered what 6 and 69 chords were. Like at 3:32, you're playing a series of F E, Eb, E and F 69 chords. Any help is greatly appreciated!

  • You still the most beautiful person on the internet.

  • Mesmerizing to watch and listen to. Beautiful. Thanks. It's just what I needed to help someone who was struggling with a song. I don't know how you did the overlay, with the words and highlights, but whatever you paid for the program, it was worth it. Sent me straight to the piano!

  • ecxellent!
