@nastymonsters2 you know next to nothing about this case. You haven't read "This House is Haunted"- the book by Guy Lyon Playfair about this case. You know next to nothing about all the witnesses and the number of incidents that were witnessed- yet despite your extraordinary ignorance you feel you can come to a definitive conclusion regarding this case. Maybe she was consciously faking the voice. Even if she was, far too much happened in that house and was seen for it all to be a hoax.

@kernowfem I don't think he "lost his head". Some people mistook the compassion he showed the family as losing his head. There were also charges that he lost his objectivity because of what happened to his daughter. I disagree. He was a fine researcher. And the work he and Playfair did at Enfield is exceptional.

@nastymonsters2 That's ridiculous. She does not have a "gruff voice to this day". She's incredibly soft spoken. Do you know she was offered money by two different sources to say it was all a hoax? And we're talking significant amounts of money. Enough money to buy a house. And she refused both times.
