Wow. Grow a sense of humor!! This is perfectly alright! I've grown up a Christian and I see nothing wrong. The Bible DOES say "in all things give thanks" and the Pastor here is giving credit where credit is due. Better to give God credit for something seemingly unnecessary than to miss out on an opportunity to praise Him.
