  • What do you do when you dont have the radius instead you have the diameter?

    sorry if i sound stupid

  • @XVELAZQUEZX559 The only thing that is stupid is not asking when you have a question. When you are given the diameter, simply divide it by two to get the radius, as the radius is 1/2 the diameter.

  • Thank you so much

  • @ramowniou1 its pi not pie and i dont know where he got 3.14 but my teacher said thats how pi is made. pi also has an alternative 22/7 its in fraction

  • thanks im in 5th grade and ive wanted to learn to find the area of a circle for a long time this was the simplest thing i could find thank you!

  • or the sun suddenly explodes and theres no more solar power

  • i am doing the science fair and i needed that answer. thanks soooo much. oh and i am in 5th grade

  • @ramowniou1 Pi is a number which derived from calculating the relativity between circles or spheres to their radius. Pi is a mathematical constant, it goes on far beyond 3.14, if I'm not mistaken, it's 3.14159265359......... (it goes on indefinately). Normally, when you don't have a calculater that gives you the opportunity to use Pi in your calculations, 3.14 is accepted. Pi is simply a mathematical constant, you can't calculate it without know the exact radius and the exact area

  • thankyou , you helped me do my homework.. big thanks

  • @ramowniou1 I don't know much abt the pie but it was mostly encouraged, studied and tried to be found out in India. Buddha encouraged it. Bramhagupta(i think so) studied it. and Aryabhatha tried to find out the whole number of pie(like he tried to see it 22/7 can be made to any number other than a fractional one)

  • yeah a quick question pls help where did the 3.14 come from how did he get it ??? i don't understand pie?

  • my daughter understands it now thank you so much !!.
