Glide ratio none. Why did not the pilot have a coach to take him through the landing proceedures. I try to have someone with me on all my maiden flights if nothing more than moral support.

No one denies flying these things probably takes a lot of skill, patience and practice but trust me.. because you can fly this doesn't mean you can fly the real ones ;)
-
@Danni293 Hey, Danniboy...As a commercial pilot (big, "real" airplanes) and an r/c pilot, I can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt that these "little toy planes" are more difficult to fly and require a lot more skill in a number of ways than real planes. "Little toys?" You know many of these larger scales can easily stretch a $10,000 bill? How does that shoe rubber taste, Danniboy? You're right about playing guitar having the potential to pay. On the street corner with a hat on the sidewalk.
-
@g6rcteam Flying little toy planes aren't my kind of thing, I like to actually get a hobby that has the potential to pay. Like playing guitar, which I do. And model airplanes are for those who didn't have enough to actually become a real pilot like I plan on doing. So we'll see whose the wannabe pilot when I'm flying real jets and you're still playing with your little toys.
-
@Danni293 im going to put this as simple as i can for you ok .. get a life you looser armchair wannabe pilot and go out and post some videos of your flights jackass! then we will see And if you would like to see my flights look up TOPGUN 2011 ! or any g6rcteam video !
Actually the P-38 predated the Hughes XF-11 by a number of years, so it is more likely that Hughes borrowed from Lockheed

Blacknight:
Do a bit more research on p-38s. your comments are incorrect in several points. The counter-rotating props were an effort to reduce buffeting experienced in early models of p-38s. The full scale plane was flyable, as are all certificated twins, on one engine, provided proper technique was employed. Feathering props were in existence well before the-38 was designed.
