Highway Star by Point Blank, Dallas 2008

If you remember, a DP song covered by PB in the early '80's. First time played live by PB in over 20 years. Having seen DP about 3 years ago, this is actually a better version than they do with their current line-up. Johnny O still has plenty of range to do this justice (actually much more than Gillan has left) and Rusty & Mouse have a much better classic feel for this song than Steve Morse. I am lucky to have captured this, as it was a totally unexpected last song from a "rehearsal" gig tune-up for PB's gig next week with Nazareth in Oklahoma. The new PB album is nearly in the can and is expected to be completed within the next two months. Should be a great one. Look for it.

Is that Buzzy on the skins?

No, Buzzy played a small number of gigs with them since they reformed 2 years ago, but they've been through several drummers since then. This was someone I had never seen before or since. Check my other vid's, Buzzy is on some of the older ones.

Glad to see PB performing it again after such a long time. Mouse & Rusty fit in very well,ooh man-these double bringing back 'ol memories-POINT BLANK ROCKS! John in good form still today is able to let Gillan looks rather pale.
