Well I nearly finished my full circle around OZ, and I also traveled the Gibb + 1700 further KM on Dirt.
The thing is. Although I love Landies. I'm not too sure they are spot on. Here is
Why I would prefer a Delica:
* A lot more Space (Hop in your bed and sleep)
* Will get you to all locations on the Gibb (it's not as bad as many think)
* I a lot cheaper to fix and run (fuel)
->Plus for Toyota Reliability.
The best car is a Troopy but too expensive for though. Gruß

i think the landcruiser is nearly the right car. i travelled the Gibb with an 85 landcruiser last year and it was awesome. I m from germany and bourght the car for 5months in austalia. We done 35.000km! Its a great country.

That's just the right car for the Gibb. A 4WD Mitsubishi Delica. Pretty much a Van on a Pajero Plattform.
I did it with a 2WD Toyota Townace :D
