Senator Hagan talks with MSNBC's Tamron Hall about legislation the Senate passed last night to award the Congressional Gold Medal to the Montford Point Marines, the first African Americans to serve in the U.S. Marine Corps. Hagan, the original sponsor, led the bipartisan push to garner support and pass this important legislation in time for the Marine Corps' 236th anniversary on November 10 and Veterans Day on November 11.
OUTSTANDING! I know marines don't do what they do for medals. These men where the best of the best this country had to offer. Semper Fi and God Bless.
