I read this essay by Michelle Belanger at http://sphynxcatvp.nocturna.org/ and wanted to share it here. It's a rough draft, but I think the thoughts in it are valuable to anyone going though an Awakening process. It doesn't matter if one is psychic, vampiric or otherkikn, we all have to face a conflict between our personal perceptions vs. what our society tells us is real. Anyone experiencing a reality that doesn't fit with the dominant paradigm of their society is going to wonder if they're crazy and will likely experience negative reactions from those around them. I think it's crucial for those who may be going through this process to realize they're not alone in their struggle and confusion. You're not crazy just because people say you are. Determining what is real and true isn't easy when your experiences are outside the norm, but just because they're outside of the norm, that doesn't mean they aren't real.

The essay I'm reading in this video can be found at http://sphynxcatvp.nocturna.org/suppt/awakening.html.

  • This is a good essay and your a good reader but even tho she is a psi vamp she could have added some things on sang vamps i mean i know being a psi vamp is a pain in the ass ( well i actuall dont know because im not one) but being a sang is just as much of a bitch...just saying not trying to be an ass

This essay is more about being sensitive to psychic perceptions, and not only about being a psychic vampire. Some sangs are sensitve to psychic perceptions, so this essay would apply to them in that regard. It would also apply to people who are empathic or who see ghosts, but who are not vampiric.

  • Thanks for reading this. You sound a bit choked up but I think that added such a wonderful personal touch. Again, thanks for reading this.

  • Thanks. Actually I was just nervous & tried from doing multiple re-recordings. Trying to get a recording to sound right & fit into a 10 minute slot can be very tedious.

  • Psychic Vamp since I was about 13 (or at least since I realized it), 24 years old now, still hiding from crowds. Although this is a nice essay, I wish it could help in controlling it.

  • Try PsychicVampire (dot) org. They have good articles, practical guides, and a helpful forum.

  • My awakening began when I was allready an adult and it was and is not easy. I cannot imagine what a nightmare it must be for a teenager. I hope and believe that this video will help people in awakening a bit more. So thank you for posting :)

    ...

  • everything she said about the kid, was everything i had!about the crowds, the feelings, the false panic ataks EVERYTHING. i did tel da schoo but dey just sent me 2 a psychiatrist. dey sA im jus always anxious but i no its not bcuz most of da tim it jus hapens out of nowhere, n i cnt control it n i hav 2 leav da crowd;i hav an energy overlod. usually at nite, n almost everynite i bcum drained 2, i becum frustrated, pains all over ma body ad up n my hole body bcums num or sum tims just my hans.

  • @skelitonking117 I think Michelle limits what she says about sanguine vampires because of the limits of her own experiences. It is difficult talk about growing up as a sanguine vampire when one is not one. You might check out "Vampires in Their Own Words" which Michelle collected the stories from people with a wider range of vampire experiences. Additionally, consider writing essays yourself. What are the things you wish you had been told? What could have really made a difference to you?

  • the poem the price of awareness sounds like thas what she went through

  • Does anyone know why "Paranormal State" has changed the 5th season format so that Michelle is just a cast member, rather than the resident psychic who is brought in "blind" without investigating the location previously? I'm just thankful she's still on the show; I also miss Chip as a resident psychic, but hopefully, that horribly fake Chad Calek is gone for good; I wish he would've taken that blonde bombshell Eilfie (LOL LOL LOL) with him.

  • What an interesting essay. I got a bit frustrated with psychic energy when I picked up one of those 'idiot's guides', and I guess I thought it was all bunk. But this doesn't sound made up at all; it sounds very genuine.

  • <<<< Looking for REAL VAMPIRES that haunt the pages of youtube secretly.
