    I grew up a Protestant and I can say to anyone who utters a disparaging word about Mary, that they didn't hear it from their pastors. They are rogues in their own faith, stepping out to rebuke something they don't understand.

    This is a pretty version. I was raised a Methodist, and in the Methodist Church Mary gets short shrift. But I think it couldn't hurt to get Jesus's mom on our side, right? Anyway she must have been special or she wouldn't have been the one who was chosen to be His mother.

    this is not the salve regina I remember from church, ours was more up beat and post vatican---I'm proud to be post vatican. You know the one that was sung (and lampooned sorry to say) in Sister Act. Doesn't anyone know this beatiful song???
