2009 Toyota Yaris Stock 0-60 Acceleration

Stock Toyota Yaris with the 1.5 106hp engine. About as quick as the Matrix with the 1.8, about 10 seconds, likely due to less weight. I also found the Yaris's automatic transmision to be much more responsive on the highway; it downshifted quite readily and did not gear hunt like the Matrix's.

Every time I post a video I have to deal with ignorant Americans talking about how this is not a 0-60. Yes, it's a 0-60, it's also a 0-100. I'm not trying to fool anyone; you can tell that I've gone to 100km/h/60mph. So you can interpret it as either one but please don't post such ignorant comments.

Canada used to use miles per hour up until the 70s I believe. We then switched to kilometres.

There are certain things you cannot expect an American to know about Canada, not matter how simple we think they are.

@motormusique I like the center gauges because in the hatchback it gives me a storage bin behind the steering wheel (not sure why the sedan doesn't get it) AND because no matter where I position the steering wheel it doesn't block them! I hate that in some other cars!!
