If you look at great filmmakers and movies throughout history, many of them either weren't nominated or lost to movies that are now looked down upon. Easiest example is Scorsese.

@philiboylondon Best Picture Produced by Nolan and Emma Thomas Best Original Screenplay - Nolan. Those would count as nominations for nolan.
