Swift Fox

Fun Fact: Our Jack and Jill race down hills at more than 25 miles per hour!

The swift fox is speedy but sly -- catching its prey by surprise and by running fast. They live in grasslands or the open desert. Our swift foxes are Jack and Jill. Jack really reacts to scents, so when you're here, you may see him rolling around on the group on top of a scent. Jill has been here a little longer than Jack, and she is the leader of the two. Jack and Jill are part of the Species Survival Program which helps animal species that are in danger of extinction. You can visit Jack and Jill in the Great Southwest area, and learn more about our other animals in the Species Survival Program at ZooAmerica.
