Caught in the Crossfire - Kashmir

This report tells the plight of Muslim Kashmiris living in a region torn apart by war and human rights abuses. discontent in Indian-occupied Kashmir erupted into full-scale rebellion in 1989 and since then the Indian army has been attempting to crush the resistance by the most brutal means. The invisible nature of the underground movement means suspects are chosen almost arbitrarily. A young man testifies that he has been arrested and tortured by the Indian authorities. We also see the growth of Indian-sponsored counter-insurgency - a group of former militant Kashmiri separatists who are now fighting on the same side as the Indian Authorities.

Sporadic ambushes the jhadi fc ks do little.Obviously some will sneak,given the tough terrain,but on an average they take about 2-3 weeks to meet their 72 virgins!NO WONDER they have taken to throwing stones!!!!! The Kashmiris have been suffering since 1940s, thats without doubt. Decision should be left for them to decide their fate. But the suffering is very painful. the issue must be resolved.
