I was waiting for Jon to lay back at some point while Colin changed it to major so I could hear that Limoncello...taking nothing away from how amazing it was for some reason I just was expecting it.

@yueundla They are both in the same general class of instruments (hand pans), but there are many qualitative differences in the sound, resonance, harmonics, etc. I personally prefer the Halo, though the best hand pan is the one you own.

Hand Pans are not a difficult as many instruments because you can start out sounding a decent note, unlike a violin or clarinet. The rest has to do with your natural rhythm, musicality and creativity. So the short answer is that everyone's different -- the learning curve is steep for some, while other players take to a hand pan like a duck to water.
