On Saturday 25th October 2009, I set off to do some videoing in the Didcot - Banbury Region.
I filmed firstly at Didcot for 20mins ish, then went to Banbury.
I filmed to Wrexham and Shropshire services and loads of Chiltern services and a few freight.
Missed my train to Kings Sutton, well actually i didnt, just started recording and was recording the arrival then heard "calling at Kings Sutton...!"
So i stopped recording ran up the steps and down to the other platform only to find it leaving! So had to wait for an hour or so.
Worked out good anyway as saw the wrexham and shropshire service and got some photos.
Anyway, eventually got to Kings Sutton where there was a Constant drizzle which was annyoing but at least not heavy rain.
There were some idiots there who kept running over the track instead of taking the footbridge who were a little off putting! lol
Anyway, then went back to Banbury and then back to Oxford.
Then down to Didcot and straight back up to Radley. Worked out quicker by about 2 minutes than waiting at Oxford!
Filmed at Radley for an hour or so and saw some freight and some reasonable tones.
Then back to Didcot where i filmed some stuff, a few passing hsts, some steam, and some trains passing down the avoider line.
Also saw a suprising combination of what looked like Queens Messenger, followed by some old intercity carriages, then what looked like a virgin dvt followed by another 67 again looking like Queens Messenger!
Sadly no tone of them though!
Weather was rubbish most of the day apart from Radley and Didcot on the way back.
This video features: 2 Wrexham and Shropshire sets at Banbury. Featuring a nice DVT tone!!

Great collection there, Sam, 5*! :)
I had a similar situation when I tried to go Kings Sutton on 09/04/2009 too! I stayed overnight in Oxford and went the next morning, managed a photo of 43179 "Pride of Laira" + 036 just before the train came, having to ask a fellow passenger to look after it whilst I check the power car numbers!

lol! Yeh well worked out alright. Like that tone i got, might not have got it at Kings Sutton. But would have been nice to see them speeding! Thanks!

You're also very lucky to see 67014 + 82305 with the refurbished carriages as well, Sam! :)
The other set was 82303 + 67013. (I got a photo of 67013 at London Marylebone on 03/07/2009, when it was with 82305 on the country end).
