@countingmx As a somali i have to agree with K'naan before the pirates did something about the toxic waste being spilt in our ocean many of our people were getting horrific illnesses due to this. My grandmother who lived in somalia at that time got one of these illnesses, She was unable to move for days. her body became stiff. It was as if she died. there were many cases of such incidents all around somalia. where was the media when these incidents occurred?

To the extreme, since there were millions of Jews killed by Germans, so a jew may now just walk up the street and kill a german? Justice, No? Let's do piracy to his music then...are u gonna be pissed k'naan? I also live in a third-world country and i really don't have money like u do. Pirates need 20million dollars as ransom 'to satisfy their hunger'??? To buy more boats and RPG maybe?? Fucking terrorists pretending to be robin hood.

So, this guy lives in the west, eats in the west, enjoys the great life and money that comes from Coca-cola now and he's talking trash about western's approach to the problem and not condemning the pirates?!?! Dude, you can't support criminals by saying they have justification. If that's so...I was fired by my supermarket manager, and I don't have income now so then I loot that store and that's justified, no???

Well said knaan! Illegal foreign fishing trawlers fishing in Somalia are mostly owned by EU and Asian and many others. Those foreign ships should stop stealing the livelihoods of poor fishermen /somalis. They have no right to enter in Somali water.. Article 10 of the Somali Law No. 37 also stipulates since 1972: “Foreign warships or Foreign Vessels are not allowed to pass through the territorial sea (i.e 200 nm) unless they are authorized by the Somali Government”.

Just to add around 40 years ago there were 40+ mainstream news stations broadcasting in the US which meant many stories were covered and reported from different and in many cases fairer angles. The number of mainstream news stations in the US have now dwindled to handful 6 or 7 who all expound the same nonsense. you notice a trend here?

western media is interested in brainwashing us. they dont want us to know the full story, whatever that may be, because it is not financially viable for modern industry (fishing and toxic waste "disposal"). It is carefully thought out misinformation. It focuses on the action not the motivation.
