@bikr1975 the largest benefit of the "dual tire" setup, is traction in my eyes, along with the larger contact patch. it will get out of the gate like a bat out of hell, and as long as the motor is setup right, the final ET will be in turn lower. the first 60-120 feet is where races are truly won and lost. if you get out front in 60ft, generally as long as you dont make a mistake, you will win the race
do you really gain speed with the added weight of the two extra tires and also the extra wind resistence? i would think it would make it slower? what if you used one massive snowmobile type of track underneath? lower the dragster down for less wind resistance and the track would get more traction. more surface contact right? could it work?
