i like the idea that as a christian i should be able to defend my self physically, but while watching your video and the words compassion scrolled the screen.i thought what if someone where attacking me ? knowing that I'm following the ways of the lord and this attacker is obliviously attacking out of direct influence of Satan. well what if i spare his life for his own sake that he might live and come to the lord.where if i slay him he might have never known him and end in eternal damnation?

@home5476 - the purpose of sword training is to enhance and master mental, spiritual, and physical skills. Not to use the sword against people which would be unthinkable from the Christian point of view. I hope you understand that; blessings and peace.

@yeshuado Sorry about that, i realized what i wrote was highly lacking sentence structure. I believe i have some valid points to make but basically none of them where iterated properly. If you can forget about that past mess of mangled words and thoughts .Could you tell me why you believe a sword is unthinkable as a weapon from a Christian point of view? Forget about that mess i mumbled before maybe i could clarify it at a later time.

@home5476 - As stated earlier – the sword is a tool for mastering mind and body, and can help in spiritual development. So our philosophy does not allow us to use it against people, and that would be unthinkable. The real enemy is inside. We are not walking with blade through the streets and looking for conflict. I see forms from at least 5 schools of swordsmanship. Most prominent of all is the Sho Kosugi ryu.
