Its one of the most disgracing government in the world. Alot of philippino have the habit of always painting a boastful picture of all KIND but actual situation differ as its way below expectation. Corrution is deeply rooted in the government, millions of street kids, homeless, 80% poverty,huge government deficit, 2nd highest electricity in the world,so all the rotton thing you can think of , philippine has it. It really suck as even when you visit relative in the philippine, they are scheming

We have a stupid government and president and a bunch of lazy uneducated people with no discipline and not organize. Too much poverty, pollution and high crime rates.

Increasing population > children can't finish college > no work = how can u improve ur lives? As I can see now, many people are in the malls wasting alot of money and for luxury. traffic because of too many cars. but, just look how much gas is right now? how can u say that people in the Philippines live with less that 2$ a day? AND for u members of the ASEAN that hates phil that much, I ask you why? Shudnt we members of the ASEAN help each other like what our leaders do? just look at EUrope. :)

First time our family moved to Manila from Iloilo City, it was already densely populated. That was way back 12years ago and it was before GMA became the president. I can say that our lives from nothing, improved a lot . We now have our own house, I work as a nurse at Makati Med, my brothers taking up Architecture and Medicine. All I can say its really within you guys, how you view your life and how you work hard to achieve your goals like our family did. It all starts w/in the family.

80% percent poverty? Have you been sleeping under a rock? The UN definition of poverty is less than $2.00 a day or roughly less than P86/day using 43 to 1 exchange rate . The minimum wage for the average worker is already way over that figure. Very few companies if ever, violate the minimum wage law. Unemployment rate is only around 8%, I wonder where you came up with that 80 pct. poverty rate. Sidewalk vendors, tricycle/pedicab/jeepney drivers easily earn over P86/day.
