1) The repetitively "my heart burns' statement indicates that person is terrified by their night dreams and their heart races, beats very fast when they awake.

2) 'They come to you in the night (...) and will look under your bedding' - the imaginary monsters under bed, in wardrobe etc.

3) 'and steal your small hot tears' - the dreams that scare enough to make children cry
