So tell me people. 100 people die after a f16 shoots down a jet or the 400 and some people still in the whitehouse die from a plane flying into them? Not to mention the terroists visual victory of destroying our nations capital. I would have made the call to shoot down flight 93 and im not afraid to admit it. In times of war you are forced to make decisions that you dont want to make. Bush did not want to make that choice, but he did, and he made the one that helped this country the most.

@ryankklein exactly, I never get why so many people follow one person. The only power a leader has is the ability to manipulate words and make the population fear what will happen if these leaders didn't have power. I mean the men who have guns take orders from the men in suits? doesn't make sense to me. Money maybe power, but what good is money when a gun is pointed at you?
-
great point I always wondered as a kid why the bad guys took orders from the boss in the movies, when it was they who actually had the powers.

You don't have to do anything. Doesn't matter if it's an order or not. People need to take responsibility for themselves and stop handing it off with excuses.

so telling how blue says at 2:42 "you have to trust that the people controlling YOU on the ground....".... sign up to the military you belong to the government.

Soldiers only go to war because they are told our country will be under attack if they didn't. The threat comes from leaders who convinced their people of a threat. The threats aren't real, they are manufactured for political purposes having nothing to do with the will of the people, so it's required to conjure up patriotism by using propaganda. This convinces people of a threat and constantly surrounds us in fear, in which we more easily give into the will of our leaders.

@365degrees On another note: Freedom fighters sometimes don't carry guns, they are not any less important to maintaining liberty in a free society. The public plays a big role in this. People have a responsibility to educate themselves so they contribute to the cause of liberty and not give up their rights based on war mongering, propaganda and lies. It's noble that people give up their life for their country and I celebrate that by enjoying my freedom and engaging in debate with fellow citizens

@365degrees Sorry man, but soldiers in these current wars are not fighting for freedom, this is evident by the fact that we have less and less freedom every single day, as if some outside enemy threatened that, when in fact our own governments are the ones who continually create bills designed to take these very freedoms away (in the name of freedom). It undermines the deaths of every soldier who fought for the constitution.

@AlwaysSomething How long do you think you would be able to make a statement like you just made if United States (Soldiers) were not willing to fight for their country?? You would be speaking a different language to start with...if you survived.

wait what does this prove? that bush ordered a shoot down of the plane? but that the plane crashed anyway. if i was the president i wouldve ordered it to be shot down too.
I love that people have fought for this country, but this is why there are wars, because people are willing to just take orders, because they are orders. ( some cases are necessary) It doesn't matter if it goes against what they know is morally wrong, they are just listening to orders which come from people who could give a shit about that soldier or the people he/she is killing. Soldiers go fight because suits tell them to go fight. Wars will stop when soldiers stop taking orders mindlessly.

@AlwaysSomething What escapes my capacity to fathom is how people who are so distrusting of government as a whole can be so blindly trusting where it comes to going off to war.
