  • This is a Joy Division song not Nin Inch Nails. The NIN version on the crow soundtrack is a cover.

  • Actually, Peter Murphy sounds much like the original singer of the song, Ian Curtis from Joy Division...if you've ever heard the original, you'd totally see that. =P

  • Wow, If I didn't see the title I would think this was Ian Curtis singing. I saw one comment that "as long as hit the notes right" - considering Ian was always perfectly off-key, that's hard to say. Peter hit the same notes Ian did on the original recording, which is harder to do than if he hit the "right" notes. Mr Murphy must have studied this hard. I just wish i could have seen this show, is this from a Joy Division "reunion"? it looks like them behind him, not Love and Rockets behind him.

  • bauhaus,nin and joy division = awesomeness

  • Joy Division were understated! a bit awkward, a bit shy and didn't really know how great they were an that made them all the better for it. They were not as showy as this, it was the music and the emotional quality and not putting the ego and rock sensibilities first. I'm so sick of 80s has been personalities who think they are IT!

  • Peter performing as Ian on a great cover, how awesome is that?

Dont get me wrong, I love the original as I love this cover. NIN, Bauhaus and Joy Division are three of my favorite bands.

  • I completely agree...

I know that it probably won't happen, but I think that Trent should have Peter on some sort of collaboration NIN album where they cover NIN and Bauhaus songs together. I just got a bootleg of all their Live Radio station performances and I think that Peter would be a good fit for NIN...

  • he does - Ian Curtis had a very very unique voice and if any one could pull it off it would be Peter Murphy - Example: Listen to Joy Division "Atmosphere" - I still think Trent is amazing though for appreciating and covering such a great song

  • Sorry Guys I didn't scroll down and see someone already posted that.

  • this is awesome!
