Beth,
It's important for you to know that the 10 Commandments were not the Old Covenant. A "Covenant" is simply an "agreement" or "promise" between two parties CONCERNING a law. Israel "broke the agreement" in the Old Covenant, because the Law was not written in their hearts. The New Covenant is about God writing the laws in our hearts, therefore, He will enables us to keep the Laws out of faith, with a New Promise and a New Agreement, and THIS is the NEW COVENANT! :)

So do you think Jesus should have cast that first stone ?
What about Jesus and the new covenent??
He let go many of the old laws, He is not about Jewish law, but the new covenent..
He scolded the Jewish Pheresees, because they were crippled by too many laws and forgetting God's love and mercy.

Amen and amen....
Please I emplore you to stress this, Jesus said, it is finished..
Amen..

If He did not spare the natural branches.U being wild in nature ????? So the whole Laws an Commands applies 2 everyone not just the Jews only

Oh but you are! When you stand to be judged you will give an account and when you go to recite what you have been desived into beliving He will ask point blank " And what did my writen word say? For now ware in the scripturs does it actualy say that. For every verse you come up with I have 3 to counter with with out ever using the same one more then once.
For I am Hebrew that belives in the coming Messiah! And maybe you should reah the Hebrew an Arimaic texts
Um, if you are going to consider that the priests of the OT were able to work 7 days w/o breaking the sabbath, you should also take into account the fact that under the New Covenant all believers are refered to as priests.

The priests of the OT were doing *redemptive* work, which is permissable for Christians to do today, which is why my pastor can "work" that day and be guiltless, or the two Sabbaths I spent speaking to one of the children's Sabbath School classes about how I became a Christian.

Sorry but your wrong. The Priests are from the trib of Levi. They are the only ones who are alowed to where you are not

Jesus changed all that. He is our High Priest who tore the veil so we are allowed directly into God's presence. We are no longer under that old covenant. Therefore, all of us are now allowed to do redemptive works on the Sabbath.
