Con Anima, by Mikropodium's virtuoso Hungarian puppeteer Andras Lenart, is a tiny show played with two perfectly designed and manipulated puppets, each only six inches tall. In a miniaturised version of the creation, God is a troll-like figure living in a mound of sand from where life springs. Lit by candles, and performed on a small table, the two puppets, one male and one female, are drawn together beneath a tree, under which dangles an apple. For adults, there are distinct overtones of Beckett's Happy Days, whilst children will simply be mesmerised by these enchanting little puppets in a truly enchanting tale.
