poetic army (4th grader's slam poem)

This poem was the product of a discussion on how poetry can change the world.

Very inspirational! Its refreshing to know that there are kids out there that's a part of positive art! Great choice of vocabulary! Keep up the good work! I like the message that the poem is sending and how they used metaphors of thngs that pertain 2 real life. Honestly ths is "real talk" coming frm a level that makes it simple 4 kids 2 under these real life issues

This was great. And it has Michael Taylor written all over it; the use of vocabulary, the cadence/syntax, the use of body language. You did an awesome job with these children. I am sure you have given them much to consider. I love the idea that even "airheads" can have an impact on changing the future. It's true! Anyone with the write, ooops, I mean right to vote and the privilege of education can become powerful beyond their dreams. I'm feelin this!

Really nice poem, very great concept about using our words and education as weapons/tools to solve the problems of our world instead. Because truly we do not solve or change anything for long with guns and violence however if we educate and help people use their words to get things accomplished then we have a chance for a better future.
