@sirachman If anything, starting these wars has hurt our freedoms, and put the country in jeopardy. It's all about corporate greed, too. That's what Iraq was about: controlling the oil fields. If you ask me, Iraq is an even bigger stain on this country's reputation than Vietnam could ever hope to be.

Obama and the 'democrats' are both the same backroom club as the Republicans. Democrats love war just like the republicans and both spend more debt than taxes could pay for if we tried. If you truly believe in the principles you seem to then you need to look for a source other than the democratic party. Try checking out libertarianism, or maybe just check the record of the people you vote for at the very least.

The last 100 thousand + men and women who have 'died for our country' were involved in unnecessary wars. My freedoms dont need to be protected by starting wars in foreign lands and wasting trillions in taxpayer money not to mention lives.
