Trent Reznor seeks to see the point in life. He is a textbook existentialist and this song is pretty self-evident of that. You can call him that or just an angst-filled philosopher.

Excellent DVD.

for a while, reznor's music didn't exactly feel happy. but really, a lot of his songs seek to resolve inner conflict. there's no doubt that reznor is trying to get his listeners to reflect upon themselves, but its not inherently depressing music. his music now makes me happy. NIN is soul.

comments are such an understatement for this creation.

It doesn't make them Human, it proves their human.

This song never fails to give me goosebumps. I remember when I saw this song live, it felt like I held my breath through the whole performance. Just incredible.

@hazaraku thats exactly what i thought when i heard this song

This song makes me want to cry. It makes me freeze when I hear it and just think about everything. My thoughts go crazy. I want to know exactly what went through his head and what his surroundings were at the time he created this magnificent piece. Words can't describe it, do it justice. It makes everything else seem unimportant and it makes me question & reflect on everything. This leaves me feeling empty. There is definitely something missing. Then again, maybe it's just my depression.
