@legendayreeserevlon there's nothing wrong with looking for inspiration, but I don't think this has got anything 2 do with Brandy. It's a coincidence that she sounds a bit like her - sum ppl do sound similar, but this is Dawn and this is another new beat, my type of song. She should keep making these type of smooth (whatever u may call it) songs while trying out new ones as well.
