haha wow. i just came back from summit to mt whitney. first time hiking and i did it!! wasnt too hard at all. very worth it

Quite a few people used to do that in the Swiss Alps, but it's banned now.

I've actually found that treadmills aren't great for bare footing since the moving surface can rub the foot as the foot lands, which can cause hot spots and blisters. As long as the treadmill isn't running too fast for you, it shouldn't be too bad though.

You know what? I'm 43 and just started discovering barefooting. I went a week ago, hiking, all over my town and the pavement was hot and I got a blister right in the metatarsal- that area between the toes and the ball of my feet, and it was sensitive for awhile, but now they're better. I went jogging 3 miles today and it felt great, but I got a little blister on my toe. I don't care, cause I know my feet will toughen up. But, I really like it and I'm getting good at it. :)
