I think seeing Cruise in this role cements the Drones as some kind of "acceptable" organisation which is in their interests.
For those who get dragged into the centres and decide to go along with it when they turn on the screws, just because in the back of their minds they remember the Cruiser in this film, there are many personal tragedies to come!!
