I'll never forget winning tickets to go see R.E.M. at some auditorium near Athens and Pylon opened for them. Pylon rocked ...man did they rock. This is a band that can only be appreciated completely by seeing them live. They blew R.E.M. off the stage. When R.E.M. did finally come out, Mike Stipe was shouting through some megaphone thing and sounded so crappy. Me and my buddy just left after their first couple of songs. We considered it a Pylon concert as it was the only decent music to be heard.
