A short clip of my Pinzgauer running with EDIS4 only - you can see the distributor has no HT leads going to it. It's going to be linked to a MegaJolt ignition controller shortly but at least it runs in this "limp home" mode. Bear in mind, the wiring is gashed together with terminal blocks at the moment & the engine is cold

  • I'd had problems after going through water with moisture in the distributor. During the snow this winter, it wouldn't run at all and I was plagued by an intermittent misfire. The Pinzgauer engine also doesn't have any vacuum advance so you're limited to a mechanical (2D) advance table only. The MegaJolt runs really well - starts better than before and hopefully will improve the lousy economy!

  • Update: runs fine off the voltage dropper

  • Interesting, Why did you choose to switch to a ignition controller?
