.... I wanna be that good at bassoon D: I've been playing for about 1 1/2 years so I know I have a long ways to go ^^
-
wtf is this
-
As I devoted myself zealously to the delightful fragrances and varied nuances of young lady's panties when I was younger, I truly had no idea how tickled I'd be to listen to the bassoon when I got older. God is a practical joker...

@UnreconstructedM You dont NEED to circular breath? i played this.. and it dosent sound like it but there a lot of places to breath. i know how to and i diddn't ise it on this.... MUCH more needed for contra.... when ever you are playing lol
-
@chabsn Circular breathing is almost a requirement of playing the bassoon, since many pieces that include bassoon also feature them to some extent, solos like this are not uncommon. In fact often when auditioning for any orchestra bassoonists will be asked to play an excerpt from this piece.

I want this to be my 7th instrument! :D Muy fantastico!
-
beautiful I enjoyed this.

Very excellent bassoon-ing. I like the manner in which the conductor conducts: very carefree, with waving and seemingly-uncontrolled movements.
-
you could tell just by his swag he was going to kill that solo.... i felt the confidence before he even played his first note

@CaptainKasabian he's a german solo bassoonist. There is no other bassoon, especially not back then, than Heckel. It wasn't until very recently that other bassoon brands started gaining traction. In germany the overwhelming majority in the bigger orchestras play heckel. That is the case in most of europe as well.
Effortless playing; he glides between phrases, with no flourishes!
