Jim Takes One To The Face

Jim has a mishap at the Gordie Woods Memorial Polo Tournament in Tacoma, WA.

He broke his zygomatic bone (side/bottom of eye socket) in three places, and severed a nerve in his face.

We think the horse's bridle may have been adjusted improperly, as earlier in the chukker we noticed that the horse was shaking his head with rein pressure (unusual with this horse).

@englishrider94 You are 100% correct. I once broke my ribs falling off of a bike. I got up and felt fine so I started to ride again. About a half a mile later the pain hit. I can totally understand how a horse rider can jump up and look fine and then hit the ground in pain.

omg that happened to me once! me and my arab were practicing mug race for gymkhanas and he freaked out when he heard the plastic cup hit the pole and he smashed his neck in my face which made my braces cut the inside of my upper lip and i started to bleed everywhere!!! o.O
