oh yeah, WFPX-62 in Fayetteville could be picked up without any problem in Southern and Eastern Moore County. WRAZ can be picked up in most parts of Southern Pines/Pinehurst area, but the reception dramatically improves in areas north and northeast of Southern Pines.

don't forget about Southern Moore County being a "transitional" area for analog ch. 3, which WWAY could be received better in parts of East Southern Pines than WBTV ever could. It's a similiar situation with WUNG-DT and WECT-DT being on UHF channel 44, which WECT-DT comes in better where I'm at than WUNG-DT ever does half the time. I pick up WECT-DT about 60%-80% of the time where I'm at north of Southern Pines.

I used to live not too far away from the area where jerseyman was at and I could pick up a marginal signal from WSOC, WCCB, and WUNG, all from Charlotte. The only reason that I had picked those stations' signals up (and hardly ever picked up WBTV, WCNC, WJZY, WMYT) was because WSOC, WCCB, and WUNG have their towers about 75-80 air miles from the area (and the others are about 20 or so miles farther west, making it difficult to pick those up).

Isn't there also a channel 62 in Fayetteville, that can be picked up in Moore County? An ION (PAX) station? And can't WRAZ (FOX50) from Raleigh be picked up at all there?

from 1997-2003, i've picked up KCRA-3, KVIE-6, KXTV-10, KOVR-13, and KTFK-64 from Sacramento, KRCB-22 from Cotati, KFTY-50 from Santa Rosa, and KSBW-8 from Salinas-Monterey used with my outdoor antenna.

Hey, Have you tried checking for WWMB-21 and WFXB-43 from Florence/Myrtle Beach? I used to live in that part of the county and could receive those channels without any problem. Are you going to post any other channel surfing vids anytime soon? Very interesting stuff.
I might be a bit ignorant with NC geography but I'm surprised that you can't pick up stations from Charlotte where you are at. Isn't it only 90 miles from where you are? Just curious.

I suspect the Uwharrie Mountain range prevents WSOC and other Charlotte stations from reaching the southern Moore Co. area. I am more likely to pick up WSLS or WIS clearer on some nights than i ever could pick up WSOC due to no terrain issues.

Yea, i was also picking them up that night but the channels were not programmed for them.
