  • Every fight video has the same argument, which is better boxing or MMA? They're completely different. The purpose of MMA is to have people with different disciplines fight to see who is the best in a fight. Boxing is a gentlemen's agreement to keep the fight on the feet with no kicks and a minimum of head butts and elbows. Is a grappler going to beat a boxer in a cage match? Every time. Is a boxer going to beat a grappler in a boxing match? Duh.

  • If I were in a street fighter, I'd much rather know MMA. It's more practical for self defense. But honestly, boxing is so much more asthetically pleasing. I'd much rather watch a great boxing match. And while MMA guys are good or mediocre at a few different disciplines, boxers are the absolute best at one thing. From a sporting aspect, I'd rather watch guys like that instead of guys who are just serviceable at a few different styles.

  • @ltjboy03 You seldom if ever find guys that are great in more than one thing. Brock lesnar was a great wrestler but a poor standup artist. Matt Hughes too. George St. Pierre is good at wrestling, as well as onhis feet, but he's not world class in either thing. He couldn't win a wrestling gold medal or a boxing gold medal. He's good at both. Not great though. I boxed and I can see clear holes in his mechanics that he can get away with in MMA that would kill him against a great boxer.

  • @hurlubu you'd need to do akido for atleast 6 years 4 days aweek to get anywhere near good enough to take 2 thugs out.....it is a very good art tho and any age group can get into it

  • @morbidbushido spot on fella, theres a clip form turkey on here where a young boxer is fighting 4-5 other guyss, he ko's 3 of them onto the pavement....check boxer fight 5 guys.....at the end of the day you can be 3rd dan in 7 dif martial arts and cant fight 1 dude half your size who never had fight in his life...it depens on the person weather you can fight or not

  • @supersix84 spot on mate, and lets be honest 80% of the time its the mma guys who bring the arguement, there hell bent on running boxing down, theres a clip on here of the play by play guy from ufc totally going over the top at lou dibela about how boxes dead, boxings not real fighting....i love boxing, i was a boxer but i'm fine with mma. you dont hear people shouting that football is better then basket ball...both sports are good in there own way its what you like, i like boxing better

  • is that the same story from fighter?

  • @supersix84 Put an MMA vs a Boxer in real life fight ... MMA anyday

  • Mark Wahlberg looks weird in this video.

  • THIS IS A BOXING VIDEO

TAKE THE MMA DISCUSSION SOMEWHERE ELSE

  • i was in a street fight once i lost all my limbs

  • Funny thing is most street fights iv seen end up with one guy against not less than 2 opponents, in some extreme cases the Backup opponent waits until you start fighting and then he creeps up on you while your busy grappling about and you'd probably wake up in a hospital. So in a street fight id rather be a striker than a grappler thank you very much. Grappling will not end a fight as quick and effectively as Striking would.
