Bach - Busoni Ich Ruf zu dir Herr Jesu Christ (BWV 639)

I have resisted Bach/Busoni for years thinking Busoni thickens/cheapens Bach, but for some reason I couldn't shake this one off. The odd bits of Busoni chromaticism make up for the thickening of the textures in my book, so off we go. I tried to reflect the fact that this was originally a work for Organ, which was where Bach was truly at home - to what degree I succeeded I'll let you be the judge. Enjoy.

Wonderful...... When i was a kid i used to play the Liszt or Busoni/Bach BWV543.. I love these turgid arrangements..... Wonderful music in their own right for certain!
