Why do programmer manufacturers go to the expense of fancy cases, and then not bother printing connector pinouts on them? Muppets.

  • Sp, Dave's not the only who's got an opinion about the PICKit...

  • Ah, YES! I totally agree. Goddamn, I hate that I have to look up the damn datasheet of the programmer every time I need to check whether I've stuck the programming header on the right way... There is loads of space on those things... PLEASE USE IT!

  • @frankbuss Yup, I did the same thing. Printed out a nice label with the pinout and stuck it on my pickit. It would have been nice if microchip did this themself, though... It barely costs any extra money and it makes the tool a lot more functional and easier to use.

  • @TheCrazyInventor Same with my PicKIT 2. I just printed the pinout with my self adhesive label printer, fits nice on the back.

  • I keep a poster with the pinout stuck on the wall next to my desk.

  • Nice rant. Will it do any good (other than to your psyche)?

  • I strongly agree with this video

  • Tight they are... all that ink would cost them a lot

  • You've got a point there!
