wtf? people aren't looking at this like it's a big deal - it IS. social attitudes are contagious - if people don't learn that racism (or sexism, for that matter) is wrong, it will only become more widespread.
i know they're just words, but they can have a huge domino effect.

I wish the media would stop making people who find these kind of jokes out to be 'racists' or 'bigots'. It's kind of ironic because it's generally the completely non-racist, people that can actually have a laugh at jokes considered 'offensive' because they know they aren't actively supporting that viewpoint. Its just a joke... Really? Can adults act like such children? I know way younger people that are African American who would even laugh at the joke. It doesn't represent his character or if he is a racist. Its truly just a joke the NAACP President has turned and twisted to to be much more of a problem then it is.
