Preview 1: Just over a year after economic calamity brought promises of reform to Washington, many now say that the recession is nearing an end. But is it business as usual for Wall Street, and have future financial crises been averted? Former International Monetary Fund chief economist Simon Johnson and US Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-OH) join Bill Moyers for a report card on the bailouts, an update on the state of the U.S. economy, and to find out whether efforts of reform have been derailed. Bill Moyers Journal airs Friday nights at 9 pm on PBS. Check your local listings. http://www.pbs.org/moyers

The US Federal Government will NOT go against the mega international banking cartel. Because this cartel OWNS the US Federal Government via the Federal Reserve system.
oh Simon Johnson, how in the h*ll can bail-outs for bankers be construed as "capitalism"?!
hint: never, ever, trust a IMF person - either current or former - that includes Simon Johnson. The IMF works only in the interest of multi-national corporations and their profits by using dictatorships, torture, and ridiculous "loan" packages to impoverish countries around the world. Read the Shock Doctrine by Naomi Klein to learn more. A documentary should be coming out soon with the same title.
To New Video--It is you who is deceiving yourself. Bill Moyers is brave enough to tell the truth to the American people. The corporations are lobbying to totally control our Congress and economy. We are the pawns in the game unless we grow backbones and fight back.
Comment to American corporations and corrupt government is Russian - "greed will choke the sucker". My first place strong and big USSR collapsed in few month, my second place USA will collapse shortly, it is morally and financially broken. Where will be my third place, probably China - capitalism under communist government?

It's hard for me to see him as a compassionate person.
